Pietro Vidi

Pietro Vidi patří k nejvýraznějším talentům nové generace italského lezení. Rodák z Arca začínal jako závodní lezec a bouldrista, postupně se však prosadil také ve sportovním, tradičním i vícedélkovém lezení. Díky své mimořádné univerzálnosti se během několika let zařadil mezi světovou špičku. Na svém kontě má přelezy cest obtížnosti 9a, boulderů až do stupně 8C+/V16 i jedněch z nejtěžších tradičních cest světa.

V roce 2025 zaujal druhým volným přelezem legendární cesty Lurking Fear na El Capitanu a následně společně s Camillou Moroni volně přelezl také Pre-Muir Wall. Dnes se zaměřuje především na objevování velkých stěn, tradiční lezení a hledání nových výzev v nejkrásnějších horách světa.

Pietro Vidi is one of the most promising talents of the new generation of Italian climbers. Born in Arco, he began his career as a competition climber and boulderer before establishing himself in sport climbing, trad climbing, and multi-pitch climbing. Thanks to his remarkable versatility, he has risen to the top level of international climbing within just a few years. His achievements include ascents of routes graded 9a, boulders up to 8C+/V16, and some of the world's most demanding traditional climbs.

In 2025, he attracted international attention with the second free ascent of the legendary Lurking Fear on El Capitan. Later that year, together with Camilla Moroni, he also completed a free ascent of the Pre-Muir Wall. Today, Pietro is primarily focused on big wall climbing, traditional climbing, and exploring new challenges in some of the world's most spectacular mountain environments.
